I have to take time out to comment on this. I am outraged. I can not believe in this day and age bullying has been taken so far. So far that young human lives have been taken. So bad that children see no other way around it other than to end their own life. If they only knew what was ahead of them I feel they would see other options.
As a parent I am disgusted in the parents of the bullies and the children who do it. I know I have no right to judge others. I am sure the parents had no idea what their children were doing. Alot of times parents are too busy to know what their kids are doing but shame on them for not educating them on bullying and the world around them. Now not only have lives been cut short but the lives of the bullies will be forever changed.
I experienced bullying when I was a kid and let me tell you, it sucks. My ninth year of life was the worst of my life. I was bullied for being a new kid, having hairy legs, my parents divorce, and anything else they could think of. It shaped me into the person I am today. Not that I have a problem with who I am today but I am sure I would be less of a push over and more of a go getter.
No kid of mine will ever bully another child. I can promise you that.
Kids follow other kids. If one starts to be mean the rest follow. It needs to end!
Stop the suicides: Help put an end to the bulling in schools!
What can I do to help? For now read and be informed on this very important topic. Continue to share information even when its not in the media. And tell others to share information. Spread the word.
